Southern
California Gator Club®

Hi LA GATOR CLUB!
It's been many great and fun years of being the LA Gator Club President, but
it's time for me to move on and hand over the reins! Laurie and Maggie will
step in as Co-Presidents of the LA Gator Club from now on. Please contact
them (info on Board of Directors page) for any upcoming info, events,
questions and so on.
They will need and welcome a lot of help/volunteers from the local Gator
community out here in LA/OC - so please don't hesitate to offer your
services in planning many fun future events and trips and helping out at our
many game viewing locations for football and basketball. It's such a great
time to be a Florida Gator!! Make the passion for your college and Gator
teams live and thrive through helping out the local Gator community and LA
Gator Club!
Go Gators!

Scot
Dawson
Treasurer and Immediate Past-President
Scot, the new President of
the SCGC for the 02-03 season, is an ’94 Finance graduate of the College of
Business. Scot moved to Los Angeles in ’99 "for a job." He now resides in
the South Bay area, strictly "for the beach life." Scot’s favorite motto is,
"There is no life east of Sepulveda…oh, besides my apartment." Scot’s forte
is finance, so he also holds the Treasurer’s job for the SCGC, as everyone
knows that J-school grads do not do math. His day job is at the "think tank"
of the Rand Corporation. |
Laurie
Dinnerstein
Co-President
Elect
Laurie Dinnerstein graduated with a BA in Theatre in 2001. After two
miserably frigid winters in Boston, she realized she hated cold, rainy
weather and moved to sunny Los Angeles. Laurie spent most of her time at UF
working on productions with both the Department of Theatre and Dance and
Florida Players. She continues to pursue her ambition to be a screenwriter,
but since she enjoys eating regularly and hates avoiding bill collectors,
she has a day job to provide much needed cash flow. Laurie loves to host
parties and stage major events, so she is here to serve the SoCal Gator club
as its Events Coordinator, and is always open to suggestions for anything
that will bring Gators together for a good time! |
Jeff
Isaacs
Orange County Representative
Jeff has
supported the Southern California Gator Club in the Orange County area for
over ten years. He is credited with bringing the Gators to National’s in
Santa Ana. Jeff earned his BA in ’77 and a MS degree in ’80 from
UF. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Jeff came to CA in ’82. He is
currently a GM with a southern California scientific glass and
environmental R & D firm.
In his
free time, Jeff coaches his son’s 7th grade basketball team –
appropriately named the Gators! |
