 Our
alumni association club for the University of Florida serves as a home base
for Gator fans in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area, including LA,
Orange, Valencia, Riverside and San Bernadino counties. Please see the JOIN
GATOR CLUB and GATOR NEWS pages (links at the top) to find out information
about our club, where we meet, how to join, where to send your dues, etc. For
directions to the games, click on the DIRECTIONS button on the upper left. If

Florida vs
Miami
The last time the
Gators beat the Canes, it was September 7, 1985. That's way to
long ago. So let's all come out and watch the Gators finally show
the Canes who the best team in the state really is! This game is
so big, ESPN's College Football Gameday will be broadcasting all
day from Gainesville! Action starts this Saturday, September 6th
at 5:00 pm. The games will be broadcast at all our locations
(Hooters of Burbank, Costa Mesa, and Ontario Mills, Tony P's of
Marina Del Rey, and Big Wangs of Hollywood).

We will be raffling off some special, season
long prizes. They are a signed Billy Donovan basketball and a
signed Tim Tebow poster. Tickets are 1 for $3 or 2 for $5. If you

Annual Gator
Picnic
We will be holding our 2008 Annual Gator Club Picnic at Griffith
Park (same place as last year) on Saturday, August 23rd from 11am
to whenever we finish. Hooters will be catering the event
with their great chicken wings, chicken sandwiches, burgers, hot
dogs, and veggie burgers so bring your appetite!
Please bring your own drinks, coolers, chairs, blankets, and any
other fun picnic items! Please be aware that alcohol is not
allowed in Griffith Park.
We will also be playing the first ever Orange and Blue
Game West. It will be the flag football game of the year, so come
out ready to play.
Directions: From I-5 - Exit Los Feliz Blvd, turn
right on Crystal Springs Dr (also known as Riverside Dr) & enter
Griffith Park. Head straight into the park.
From 101 - Exit Western & head north. Western turns into Los Feliz
Blvd, continue on Los Feliz Blvd heading east. Turn left on
Crystal Springs Dr (also known as Riverside Dr) & enter Griffith
Park. Head straight into the park.
Once in park - turn left onto Griffith Park Dr (you will see a
sign for Mineral Wells Picnic Area). Pass the Old Zoo Picnic Area
and children's playground. Pass the golf course and driving range.
Turn left into the Mineral Wells Parking Lot. Look for Orange &
Blue Gator decorations! |
Hooters Donates to the Gators!
Hooters of Burbank presented the SoCal Gator Club with a check for
$1500 to donate to the University of Florida during the Alabama game.
Hooters of Burbank gives a 10% discount on all food and merchandise
purchased by members of the SoCal Gator Club during the football
season. Then at the end of the season, matches that discount and
donates it to the SoCal Gator Club. Catch all the Gator games at
Hooters and support UF!
Gators Buy Brick with Hooters Donation
With the generous raffle money we have received from the
club members, The Southern California Gator Club has bought a brick!
Now the So Cal Gator club is supporting the future of the university
while becoming a part of UF™s history. The
Emerson Alumni Hall Plaza Paver Program gives us a chance to dedicate
a spot in the courtyard of this magnificent new building. So next time
you're on Campus look for our brick that has SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA GATOR
CLUB on it!
